FSW Names Cangelosi Coordinator of Fitness and Wellness

Florida SouthWestern State College has named Vince Cangelosi the college’s coordinator of fitness and wellness.

“Vince has an impressive background in health and wellness which will greatly benefit the college,” said Judy Pultro, Director, Auxiliary Services. “He’ll oversee our new wellness center in Suncoast Credit Union Arena, plus wellness programming on our campuses in Punta Gorda and Naples, and our regional education center in LaBelle.”

His responsibilities include creating and launching health and wellness initiatives, and professional development sessions for FSW’s faculty, staff and students. He will also be working with FSW’s Student Life for programming, in addition to strength training and conditioning for FSW Athletic teams.

Prior to joining FSW, Cangelosi was the director of personal training at Around the Clock Fitness in Fort Myers. His career spans over 10 years, including as executive director of the Arlington YMCA in Jacksonville, Fla. and as the strength and conditioning coordinator at Florida State College of Jacksonville.

Cangelosi earned his master of arts degree in health and wellness promotion from Morehead State University, Morehead, KY. He holds numerous professional certifications, including: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS); Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES); SRX Supplement Certification; Metabolic Programming Certification; and Multicultural Executive Development Institute.
