FSW to Host Mobile Mammogram October 11

Sep 22, 2016

Florida SouthWestern State College is hosting Radiology Regional Center’s Mobile Mammo event from 8 a.m. to Noon on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the college’s Fort Myers campus.

The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends that women age 40 and older should have a screening mammogram every year. Most insurance providers cover screening mammograms for women age 40 and over as a wellness benefit. If you do not have insurance, a discounted self-pay rate of $159 is offered. Cash, check and all major credit cards are accepted.

The Mobile Mammo Coach is fully accredited and professionally staffed; patients receive digital mammography screening with CAD (Computer Aided Detection) and a report from a board-certified radiologist. The exam takes about 15-20 minutes and does not require a physician order/prescription. Just bring your insurance card and photo ID. The registration packet can be done in advance by going to www.RadiologyRegional.com and click on Mobile Mammo. To make your appointment for the October 11 event, call 239-936-4068.
