View the Lunar Eclipse at the FSW James & Barbara Moore Observatory

MAY 5, 2022 – PUNTA GORDA, FLA – Sky gazers can view the lunar eclipse on Sunday, May 15, at the James & Barbara Moore Observatory located on the Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) Charlotte Campus, 26300 Airport Road, Punta Gorda. The viewing is free and open to the public.

The lunar eclipse will take place on Sunday, May 15, from 11:30 p.m. – 1 a.m. The observatory will be open from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m. Telescopes will be available for public viewing, and visitors are encouraged to bring their own binoculars. The event is weather permitting.
