Dr. Jeff Allbritten Nominated for 2026 SWFL Citizen of the Year

FORT MYERS, Fla. — April 9, 2026 — Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) is proud to announce that Dr. Jeff Allbritten, president of FSW, has been nominated for the 2026 SWFL Citizen of the Year award, presented by SWFL Inc.

This prestigious honor recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to improving the quality of life across Southwest Florida and advancing the economic vitality and overall well-being of the community. Dr. Allbritten’s leadership at FSW has been marked by a strong focus on student success, workforce development and meaningful partnerships that support regional growth.

“Together with our community partners, we are focused on creating pathways to opportunity, supporting workforce needs and helping Southwest Florida thrive,” Allbritten said. “Student success and community strength are deeply connected, and we’re proud that so many of our graduates remain in Southwest Florida, contributing their talents to the continued growth and vitality of the region. The recipient of the 2026 SWFL Citizen of the Year award will be announced Tuesday, May 12. SWFL Inc., the region’s only Five-Star Accredited Chamber of Commerce, serves businesses across Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties.
