Do I need a BUC Card to copy or scan?

It’s faster to swipe your BUC Card, but you may also log in with your regular desktop username and password.

How do I add a new employee to my department’s printing account?

  • New hires: Automatically added based on payroll assignment
  • Transfers: Email the employee’s name, Banner ID, and authorized account index number to AuxiliaryServices@fsw.edu

I print/copy for multiple departments. How do I get additional accounts?

Ask each department's budget administrator to email your name, Banner ID, and account index number to AuxiliaryServices@fsw.edu

Is there a charge to scan?

No. Scanning is free, but you must still swipe your card or log in to access the scanner.

Why is printing on a desktop printer more expensive?

Desktop and stand-alone printers:

  • Use more electricity
  • Require more costly toner
  • Need more frequent maintenance
  • Take more staff time to support
  • Use Ricoh MFDs whenever possible to conserve resources.

Why isn’t there a discount for double-sided printing?

Although double-sided printing saves paper, it uses the same amount of energy, toner, and device time as single-sided printing. However, FSW encourages duplex printing to reduce paper waste.

Can I move a copier/printer to a new office?

No. Printers and copiers must remain in their assigned location, connected to the network, and powered on. If you’re relocating or need a device in a new space, please contact AuxiliaryServices@fsw.edu before moving any equipment.
