Do I need a BUC Card to copy or scan?

It is quicker to swipe your card, but you may also log in manually using your computer sign on.


I don’t have my BUC Card ID with me. Can I still copy and scan?

Yes, you may log on to the Kyocera MFDs by using the same user name and password that you use to log on to your desktop computer.


Do I need my BUC Card to print?

In most cases no, unless you select the private printing option – then you will need to either swipe your card, or log on manually with your computer sign on.


I have a brand new to the college employee starting in my department. How do I add him/her to my department’s account for printing and copying?

Brand new employees will automatically be added to the department account that the employee is paid from.


I have a new employee starting in my department that is transferring from another FSW department. How do I add him/her to my department’s account for printing and copying?

Email the employee name and Banner ID number, along with the account index number that the employee is authorized to charge copies and printing to .


I print and copy for more than one department. How do I add additional accounts?

Have the budget manager email with your name and Banner ID number, along with the account index number that you are authorized to charge copies and printing to.


Am I charged to scan?

No. Although you will still need to swipe your card or log on to the Kyocera in order to gain access to the scan function.


Why does it cost more to print to a desktop or stand-alone printer?

Printers use more electricity, toner is more expensive, maintenance and replacement parts are more costly, and they utilize more staff time to support. Whenever possible it is advised to shift your printing to one of the Kyocera Multifunctional Devices to save college resources.


Why don’t I receive a discount printing on both sides of the paper?

Paper is only one part of the cost to print. It takes as much energy, toner, machine use, etc. to print an image on both sides of the paper. We do encourage you to do the right thing and print on both sides, or to print less, in order to conserve resources.


Help. My copier/printer needs service.

You may request service online www.deximaging.com or via telephone 1-800-886-2329. Please be prepared to provide the Equipment ID number and the issue you are having with the device.


How do I order paper for our printer/copier?

Please use our paper order form.

Note: Auxiliary Services will not supply specialty papers, such as diploma, certificate, transparency, glossy, cardstock, etc. It is the responsibility of the departments wanting the specialty paper to purchase on their own. No per image discount will be given for using your own purchased specialty papers.


How do I order toner for the copier/printer?

You do not have to order toner. All of our printers and MFDs are monitored and when toner reaches a designated level toner is automatically shipped to the college.

Note: If your machine has the ability to staple, you are responsible for placing an order directly with DEX at www.deximaging.com. There is no additional charge for this.


I know I have a large job coming up, or I know that we are heading into a busy time of year for our department, can I order toner before it gets down to the pre-designated level?

Yes, if you know that you will be using far more toner than you normally would you can request it early online www.deximaging.com or via telephone 1-800-886-2329. Please be prepared to provide the Equipment ID number.


I will be moving offices. Can I take the printer/copier with me?

Printers and copiers are not to be moved from their designated locations. If you are interested in adding a device, please submit a Request Desktop Printer workflow form or contact for assistance.
