Scientific Workplace Preparation at FSW 

Florida SouthWestern State College’s College Credit Certificate (CCC) in Scientific Workplace Preparation equips students with essential knowledge and technical skills needed for entry-level employment in scientific and engineering laboratories. The program strengthens students’ communication, math, and information technology skills while developing their foundation in scientific lab procedures.

Careers 

Completion of the Scientific Workplace Preparation, CCC prepares students for roles such as:

What We'll Teach You

Program Information 

Curriculum: The program includes coursework in chemistry, biology, communication, mathematics, and social sciences, along with lab-based science electives. Students build foundational lab and academic skills relevant to multiple scientific career tracks. 

Duration: The Scientific Workplace Preparation, CCC consists of 26–27 credit hours and can be completed in approximately one year with full-time enrollment. The program is designed for both full-time and part-time students. Courses are offered in online and traditional formats to accommodate students’ varying schedules and learning preferences.
