Thank you for your interest in Florida SouthWestern State College. We are pleased you are interested in admission to the college and have listed important dates and deadlines below regarding application deadlines and office closings in advance of the spring semester.

Application Deadlines for Spring 2020 — Classes start January 6 for the Spring Full and A terms. Spring B* term classes start on March 17.

The application deadline for Spring Full and A terms is as follows:

  • December 2 — students starting at FSW for the first time.
  • December 29 — students who are returning to FSW and non-degree seeking students.

Applications submitted for Spring 2020 after these deadlines will be considered for Spring B term and will be processed after January 6.

*B term course availability is limited and there are no orientation dates for freshmen/first-time in college students after January 3. Students who have not attended FSW before and would like to do so after the application deadline should apply for the summer term, which starts in May.

College Closings

Please be aware that all offices at FSW are closed on the following dates:

  • Thanksgiving — November 28 — December 1, reopening at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2019
  • Winter Break — December 15 — January 1, reopening at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020

Please note, the FSW Admissions Office will offer Saturday hours in advance of the spring semester on January 4 from 10:00 a.m. — 2:00 p.m.

Define Yourself!

Only applications submitted through will be considered official for admissions purposes. All payments to the college should be made through the FSW website or in person at an FSW location cashier’s office, and any communication from the college will be from an official domain name email address (i.e. ). Need to update your admissions application to change your entry term?

To update your entry term (the term in which you intend to begin classes), you will need to submit the "Update Entry Term of Existing Application" form following these instructions (PDF). You should only use this form if:

  • Your application was created within the last year
  • You need to update the semester in which you would like to begin classes at FSW

To update your Academic Program, please contact Academic Advising.

To update any directory information (i.e. address, phone number, etc), complete the Change of Student Data Form and submit to the Office of the Registrar.

Important Notes

Florida Residency

Students are required by the state of Florida to complete & submit the Florida Residency Declaration prior to the start of classes in order to be considered for in-state tuition.

Out of State Fee Waiver

Recent State of Florida Statutes qualify some students for a waiver of out of state fees. Click here for more information.

Admissions Application Promo Codes

Admissions applications at FSW require an application fee. The College does not provide promo codes to discount or waive fees; however, graduating high school seniors may be eligible for a national application fee waiver program. Click here for more information.
