Freshman and First Time in College Admissions
I am a Freshman, First Time in College Student
...if I am a high school graduate, soon-to-be high school graduate,
or GED student with no prior college credit.
All students must meet one of these requirements to be accepted to Florida SouthWestern State College:
- Earned a valid high school diploma,
- Earned a valid GED (General Equivalency Diploma), or
- Completed a home education program in accordance with Florida Statutes

Admission Requirements
- Apply online as AA, AS-First Time in College applicant
- Pay Application Fee ($30)
- Submit Transcripts
- Send in your high school transcript as soon as possible for admission. Official high school transcripts with a graduation date will be required once available.

Attention Recent or Soon-to-be High School Graduates!
- If you earned credit at Florida SouthWestern State College as a high school student, in order to apply to FSW and continue registering for courses as a high school graduate, complete a free "AA/AS, Re-admit" application, and follow the steps we email and mail to you after admission.
- To receive in-state tuition rates you must submit a Residency Declaration.
- Submit a copy of your final high school transcripts (with a graduation date) when they are available and any transcripts from other colleges or universities you have attended.
