SACSCOC General Information


Florida SouthWestern State College submitted its Fifth-Year Interim Report on September 22, 2017. The main components of the report include an abbreviated Compliance Certification and a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Impact Report. The institution’s compliance with 17 select standards of the Principles of Accreditation were reviewed. The QEP Impact Report was accepted and a follow-up Referral Report was requested for three standards: CR 2.8 (Faculty), CS 3.3.1.1 (Institutional Effectiveness: Education Programs), and FR 4.1 (Student Achievement) on January 12, 2018. The Referral Report was submitted on April 2, 2018. A Monitoring Report was requested for two of the standards (CS 3.3.1.1 and FR 4.1) on July 3, 2018 and is due by April 1, 2019.

Impact Report of the QEP

This report addresses how the QEP has affected the outcomes related to student learning. Along with a copy of the QEP’s Executive Summary submitted to SACSCOC following the most recent affirmation, the report must contain the following components:

  1. List of initial goals and intended outcomes of the QEP;
  2. Discussion of changes made to the original QEP and reasons for those changes;
  3. Description of the QEP's direct impact on student learning; and
  4. Reflection on what the institution has learned as a result of the QEP.
