Business Administration and Management (AS)

The Associate in Science Degree (AS) in Business Administration and Management program offers a sequence of courses that presents coherent and rigorous content needed to prepare for further education and for careers in business, business administration, and management in retail, service, government, and manufacturing operations. The program also is suitable for those students who want to become prepared to start and/or run a small business. The program is designed for both full-time and part-time students.

The content includes but is not limited to planning, organizing, directing and controlling of a business, with emphasis on selected theories of management and decision making and the knowledge and understanding necessary for managing people and functions.

Continuing Toward a Baccalaureate Degree

There are many opportunities for more advanced education. For example, Graduates of the AS, Business Administration and Management Degree can matriculate into the BAS, Supervision & Management Degree at Florida SouthWestern State College. Graduates of the AS, Business Administration and Management Degree program can also pursue Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting, Business, Management and other related areas at many local colleges and universities as well as those located throughout the state and country.
